Students progress through the programme based on their age and stage of development.
For ages 11–13, the First Steps (Learning & Observation) pathway focuses on learning within their own classes. Due to child work permit regulations, students at this stage do not assist in other classes. Instead, they build knowledge in communication, class structure, and the role of a teacher, preparing them for future progression.
From age 14+, students can move into assisting, gaining practical experience in classes where permitted.
Students who complete First Steps do not repeat the course — they simply progress to the next level when ready.
